Supporting Not for Profit organisations to create respectful, inclusive, and sustainable work places where people are excited to get to work and productivity thrives.
WHAT DO I DO
Recruitment & Selection
Attracting and then hiring the best person for your identified vacancy is crucial. I will support you throughout the whole process of creating a Position Description, determining adequate salary range, advertising, screening, shortlisting, interviewing including behavioural / practical assessments, selecting the right candidate for the position, and finally issuing a letter of offer / employment agreement.
HR Foundations & Compliance
A solid basis of an organisation starts with Employment Contracts that are compliant with current legislation, an engaging Employee Handbook or Guidelines, Policies & Procedures, Position Descriptions, a welcoming Onboarding process, and correct Employee remuneration. Salary Reviews and Benchmark complement the foundations.
Team Building & Employee Engagement
Team building builds trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases collaboration. Team building creates stronger bonds among the members of a group. The individual members respect each other and their differences and share common goals and expectations. When using an external facilitator for team building, groups can participate in structured activities that are designed to help the employees coalesce into an effective team. Effective team building means more engaged employees.
Employee engagement can be defined as the involvement and enthusiasm of employees in their work and workplace. With the help of a survey, you can measure your employees' perspectives on the crucial elements of your workplace culture. Following the results of the survey, focus points, particular strengths, and areas of development can be determined.
Leadership Trainings & Coaching
Why is leadership development so import? According to Gallup, 70% of a team’s engagement depends on the manager. Unfortunately, when budgets are tight investing in the training of managers is often one of the first places to cut. However, leadership development can be offered in many different formats and timeframes according to your organisational requirements and budget.
Coaching, which can be done via video calling, is not only a cost effective alternative to a traditional classroom training, it also offers great value. Core skills for good leadership are: listening with intention and attention, asking powerful questions, giving and receiving feedback and holding critical conversations. However, application and practice of those critical skills are important. What worked well and why? What would I like to do differently next time? And how? All this can be explored in individual coaching sessions tailored to your goals and needs.

At a staff level, Bloodwood Tree received one on one coaching, team building activities and recruitment support.
At a Board level, Christine Biesgen worked with our volunteer Board to develop KPI’s and a framework for evaluating CEO annual performance. Each of the services were customised and focussed on our requirements and needs of our organisation.
